Providence X-ray Diagnostic Radiology Technologist in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling an X-ray Diagnostic Radiology Technologist (Imaging Services, Variable, 0.6 FTE) to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Complete all documentation on patient before going on to next patient.
Finish cases completely or hands off to another tech.
Perform all exams with C-arm, O-arm, portables and fluoroscopy.
Pre-educate the patient and family, when applicable, prior to exam.
Sign ED patients out and back in, utilizing appropriate communication method within the ED (ex., Trackboard, chart, etc).
Empty dirty linen daily.
Report any broken equipment to Bio-Med.
Wipe down machines in rooms, portables, O-arms and C-arms as needed with the appropriate, approved cleaning solutions.
Support new hires and students in their training experience in order to help them learn.
Present inservices or other educational offerings as assigned as well as attends aforementioned inservices and educational offerings when offered.
Utilize appropriate tools and tones to ensure the correct patient is receiving the correct exam.
Charge appropriately for all supplies used.
Ensure the correct codes are being charged to the correct accounts.
Routinely check for outdated supplies.
Hand in STAT exams (ex., OR, ER, etc) within the appropriate timeframe, per policy.
Stock linen daily, including putting away clean scrubs as they arrive.
Stock supplies daily.
Provide clear, concise and pertinent patient histories and clinical information in order for Radiologists to adequately interpret imaging studies.
Familiarize and appropriately exercises proper use of PPE.
Stay up to date on certifications as well as completes education and compliance courses in a timely manner.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Education required to receive Montana State Radiologic Technologist (MSRT) licensure
Must have Montana State License (MSRT)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire.
