Providence Health & Services Transportation Representative in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Transportation Representative to Providence Health & Services in St Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana.
We are seeking a Transportation Representative to participate in the internal and external transportation of medical/surgical supplies, forms, office supplies, linen, and equipment (SPH Cargo Vehicles). Maintain and operate hospital fleet including deliveries to various campuses and affiliate organizations.
In this position you will:
Adhere to safety precautions including hazardous wastes and proper sharps disposal.
Demonstrate knowledge of proper application and maintenance of the department’s equipment and environment.
Respond quickly to the needs identified by customers.
Be responsible for maintaining delivery schedules for supplies, linens and food to SPH and all offsite affiliates.
Demonstrate the communication standard of conduct by clearly conveying information and ideas through appropriate mechanisms in a way that engages people and helps them understand and retain the message.
Demonstrate the core values of respect, compassion, justice, excellence, and stewardship.
Attend educational offerings per department policies. May assist with the provision of education on the unit and within the hospital.
Maintain forms and records.
Follow established policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Experience in dealing with customer service and prioritization of past duties.
Skills in truck driving, and ability to understand and carry out verbal orders.
Constant grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, and walking. Constant lifting of up to 40 pounds. Frequent climbing steps or ladders, stooping, kneeling, pulling, overhead lifting of up to 25 pounds. Frequent lifting, pulling, or pushing of 100 to 3000 pound pallets and carts. Constant carrying up to 25 pounds and frequent carrying of up to 50 pounds.
The use of personal protective equipment during various tasks / activities. Personal protective equipment includes but is not limited to gloves, masks, safety glasses and gowns.
Current Montana Driver's license, motor vehicle record, and insurance.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- High School Diploma or GED.
