Providence Health & Services Sterile Processing Technician in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Sterile Processing Technician (Sterile Processing Dept, Day Shift, 1.0) to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Sort, disassemble, clean and disinfect trays, instruments, carts, supplies and equipment.
Select and use effective and safe sterilization procedures and cleaning methods.
Operate and maintain cleaning and sterilization equipment.
Provide instrument sets for surgical procedures and case carts for booked and emergency surgery.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Central Processing Technician certification within 18 months of hire and must be maintained throughout employment in this role once it is obtained
Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in Sterile Processing or knowledge of surgical instrumentation is highly preferred
Working knowledge of steam and Sterrad sterilization system
Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to the Operating Room needs
