Providence Health & Services Rehabilitation Aide in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling an Cardiac Rehabilitation Aide (Cardiac Rehabilitation, Day Shift, 0.0 FTE) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Assess pulse, blood pressure, chest, leg incisions/dressings and symptoms to determine treatment.
Communicate with nurse prior to exercise for relevant information and reports patient response as necessary.
Contribute to the identification of the discharge needs of the patient.
Develop goals per Phase I protocol, including time frames.
Develop plan of care according to cardiac rehabilitation standards and guidelines.
Discuss goals and treatment plans with patient and family.
Follow Assessment Process A: Reviews medical record and collects appropriate data accurately.
Follow Assessment Process E: Re-assesses patient/participant progress toward goals and plan of care, revising when appropriate.
Follow Assessment Process F: Identifies unusual or life threatening situations and consults with nursing and physicians.
Identify self when entering patient room and explains what will be done.
Implement Phase I program assuring patient privacy, safety and comfort according to department policies and procedures.
Teach appropriate and safe therapeutic patient information and education consistently based upon Phase I protocol.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Prefer knowledge of/experience in cardiac rehabilitation in a hospital, university education setting, nursing or PT student, EMT or current CNA.
