Pharmacy Technician - CREDENA MSLA Department, Providence St. Patrick Hospital, Missoula, MT

Performs all typical duties of a retail. mail order, specialty pharmacy staff technician as defined by the Montana Board of Pharmacy and local pharmacy drug outlet procedures. Fills physician orders for patient medications under a Registered Pharmacist's supervision. Communicate with and service the needs of the Pharmacy clientele. Has advanced knowledge and skills in one or more specialty areas in the pharmacy. (Advanced skills include specific certifications such as immunization administration, MTM, Technician Verification). This position is responsible for supporting the practice of pharmacy, performing delegated tasks, and performing record keeping, and clerical activities under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Provides support to specialized areas of pharmacy services and serves as a resource and/or trainer for other pharmacy staff. The omission of a specific requirement or responsibility will not preclude it from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical extension of the position.

Shift : Part- time, Day shift, 24 hours

Required Qualifications:

  • upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician License

  • 2 years experience (4160 hours) of pharmacy practice

  • 2 years Customer Service

  • 2 years for internal promotion candidate must be competent in responsibilities of Associate Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacy Technician: (external candidates are required to have the equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of Pharmacy Technician Training Program

  • National Certification (PTCB/ExCPT)
