Providence is calling a Nuclear Medicine PET Technologist (Nuclear Medicine, Day Shift, 0.0 FTE) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT. In this position you will:

  • Familiar with NRC regulation and ALARA practices

  • Satisfy all applicable federal regulations as well as any institutional policies that pertain to th in vivo use of radiopharmaceuticals, performance of imaging procedure and the safe handling of radioactive materials

  • Quality Control: follow instrument and Camera guidelines according to ACR standards

  • Knowledge of appropriate age specific communication

  • Communicate appropriately with colleagues, supervisors, and peers

  • Peripheral IV Access Standards

  • Hotlab Software Operation

  • Ordering Patient Doses

  • Receiving Packages

  • End of Day Survey Procedures

  • PET/CT Policies and Procedures

  • General Nuclear Medicine Policies and Procedures

  • Supervise Extern Students throughout the day

  • Stock linen daily

  • Stock supplies daily

  • Wear film badge at all times.T

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Associate's Degree in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent education/experience

  • Licensed Nuclear Med Tech by ARRT or NMTCB

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies:

  • American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider),

  • American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or

  • Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire.

  • Experience with established procedures and protocols

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Specific to the handling of FDG and operation of PET scanner
