Providence Medical Assistant II - Missoula Family Medical in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) ( Missoula Family Medical , Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Medical Group Montana in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Report and document any unusual patient or administrative occurrence that may have an effect on the patient’s and/or staff’s well being.
Knowledgeable regarding office functions and nursing care and shares this knowledge with others.
Provide clear, concise and pertinent direction to care team.
Serve as a preceptor for new staff and/or students.
Assure correct ICD-9/10 diagnostic/HCPCS/CPT coding is used to transcribe patient diagnosis, procedures, services and supplies.
Communicate information to appropriate person(s) accurately and timely.
Document appropriate information clearly, accurately, and independently in the patient's medical record.
Maintain patient files, records and other information.
Post correspondence and external results in an organized fashion.
Oversee appointment bookings and assists with scheduling and re-scheduling of patient appointments, referrals, tests, treatments, pre-authorization of services and hospital services.
Provide clear, concise pertinent patient reports/information.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of RMA or CMA program
Active MA Certification through one of the nationally recognized MA programs: AAMA, AMCA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NAHP
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire.
