Providence Dispatcher in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling for a Dispatcher (Security Dispatch, Variable Shift, 0.0 FTE) to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montanta. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Answer patient, family, department, hospital, emergency and routine calls
Correctly operate Wyse Paging Terminals
Maintain appropriate communication logs
Maintain correct patient information in computer system
Maintain key restriction list and sign in/sign out list
Monitor Security System including magnetic door locks, intercom and monitoring cameras
Provide communication to all other departments and emergency agencies inside and outside of the hospital
Responsible for telephone remote relief
Complete preceptor evaluation as assigned
Document critical incidents when necessary
Ensure effective use of equipment – Assist in securing equipment to prevent theft and loss
Function as a preceptor; serve as a resource person for new staff
Provide clear, concise and pertinent direction to staff and the public
Required Qualifications for this position include:
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications for this position include:
One (1) year prior emergency dispatching experience
Health care or emergency services dispatching experience
